Microneedling is considered the answer to almost everything. But it isn’t.
For years, microneedling was the standard treatment – not because it’s the best for every problem, but because:

What Microneedling can do
Good for texture – with clear limits.
Fine sterile needles create tiny channels in the skin. As the skin repairs them, it builds new collagen. Microneedling is also often called Dermapen.

Skin texture, enlarged pores, fine lines and light acne scars – best as part of a plan. Suitable for all skin types.

Prerequisite
A healthy skin barrier. If it is weakened or the skin is reactive, we first strengthen it – otherwise Microneedling will irritate more than it helps.

As deep as necessary
Lower doesn't mean better.
Microneedling is often sold as «medical» because the needles go deeper. However, deeper means primarily: more redness, longer recovery time, and more strain on the skin barrier.
For skin texture, pores, and fine lines, a low depth is sufficient – we work up to 0.5 mm, adapted to the zone.
For deeper goals – scars, firmness – we don’t use longer needles, but devices that are specifically designed for that purpose.

Which treatment suits your goal?
When it comes to pores, skin texture, and first fine lines, Microneedling is a good choice – or LaseMD Ultra™, which works in a similar way, without needles. For deeper acne scars, Vivace® RF-Microneedling or Stellar M22™ ResurFX™ usually achieves better results.
When the skin loses firmness, we use Vivace® or Volnewmer®. Thin, tired skin often needs structural support first, for example with PolyPhil™ or Fillmed NCTF®. And those who simply cannot afford downtime are better served with HydraFacial™ or Dermadrop TDA®.
These are examples, not a rule. Here’s how we proceed: AURA 3D first takes 3D photos of your skin. Then we assess the skin barrier and prepare the skin if necessary. Microneedling with customized depth
Up to 0.5 mm, zone-specific adjustments, with neutral gel. Then soothing mask, Dermalux™ light therapy and SPF 50.

After the treatment
Redness like after a mild sunburn
After 24–48 hours, you can usually return to social activities. For 24–48 hours, no sauna and no intense exercise; daily SPF 50. You take the care kit home with you.

Is «medical» microneedling better? +
Not automatically. Often, «medically» just means that the needles go deeper – with a longer recovery time. What matters is whether the method suits your goals and your skin.
Does Microneedling help with acne scars? +
With mild acne scars, yes, in a series of treatments. With deeper scars, Vivace® RF-Microneedling or Stellar M22™ ResurFX™ usually achieves better results.
Microneedling or RF-Microneedling – which is better? +
RF-Microneedling (Vivace®) combines needles with radiofrequency heat and is more effective for firmness and deeper scars. Classic microneedling is gentler and suitable for texture and pores.
Are there alternatives without needles? +
Yes. LaseMD Ultra™ improves skin texture and pores with laser, Volnewmer® tightens with heat, without needles at all. The AURA 3D skin analysis shows which method suits you.
How long will I be red after Microneedling? +
